PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal Arroyo received the signed Memorandum of Agreement detailing the commitment of the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP) to the government’s Project Nurses Assigned in Rural Service (NARS). PHAP, through the PHAPCares Foundation, will sponsor an additional 100 nurses for deployment to 20 poorest municipalities in the country as part of its advocacy to promote greater access to healthcare. Top professional and industry organizations from the healthcare sector have formed a multi-stakeholder alliance with the recent launch of the Safe Medicines Network (SMN) held at Filipinas Heritage Library in Makati City.
